Spring Break '83

"SPRING BREAK '83" - NOW FILMING!!!
A coming of age teen comedy written by Mars Callahan

Big Sky and Delta Groove Productions have now successfully wrapped filming on November 19th, and will resume filming “pick-up” shots in Los Angeles starting in 2008 on their next major motion picture: “Spring Break '83." The filming in New Orleans was a huge success and included both a massive indoor and outdoor sound stage, motorboats, and a helicopter. "Spring Break '83" is building momentum and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

“Spring Break '83" is a hilarious coming of age teen comedy that celebrates everything that was great about the 80s from the outrageous parties to the tiny bikinis from the rock music to the big hair. Shot on location the fun times are back in this laugh out loud tribute to such classic lampooning comedies as “Animal House”, “Porky’s”, “Revenge of the Nerds”, “Airplane” and “Police Academy”. This comedyfest spoofs the 80s as it depicts the everlasting battle between the poor nerdy underdogs and the rich testosterone-filled jocks. This soon-to-become comedy classic will feature up-and-coming talented comedy performers, caustic crack-ups, a rocking soundtrack and an amazing franchise opportunity. Filled with beautiful bikini-clad coeds, oversexed teenage boys and crass humor,“Spring Break '83" will make you roar with laughter!

SYNOPSIS:
Spring Break ’83 opens on Beverly Hills High School’s graduating class dressed in cap and gown and preparing to receive their diplomas. In the back row we find our four heroes, our lovable losers vowing to each other that next year – when they go away to college – that things will be different.

That they will become popular – making certain to cast aside the stigma of lameness that has haunted them their entire high-school careers. Their goal is to start a new chapter in their lives. But no such luck. As our four heroes get up on stage to receive their diplomas, their four arch rivals - the rich, good looking, popular, preppie kids – ambush them with a practical joke that humiliates our four heroes in front of the entire school.

After a summer of ridicule and continued persecution, our four heroes arrive at what they hope will be their sanctuary . . . a topnotch State University. Their only hope is to recreate themselves, obtain some semblance of a decent social life and have some fun. To their horror – they discover that they are attending the same college as their high school arch rivals.

In an act of underhanded treachery – their four enemies find a way to get our heroes wrongfully expelled from school. Now – kicked out of college with no friends or ideas for moving on with their lives – our four heroes realize that they have one last chance to redeem themselves and get even with their arch enemies once and for all . . . they must go to Lake Maurepas during spring break and win the Kings of the River contest and save the Cantina from being torn down by developers that want to build sky rise condominiums.

Much like how the success of NBC’s reality casting T.V. show “Grease, You’re the One,” which has generated $14.2 million in advance ticket sales (just in New York alone) and created an enormous fan base for the new Broadway production, “Casting Call” looks to catapult “Spring Break ’83,” the movie, into millions of Americans’ living rooms prior to the movie being released. We feel that this will have a profound, positive impact on box office and DVD sales as well as all other ancillary markets.
