Big Sky Motion Pictures is gearing up to dive right back into the filming of their current project, Spring Break 83. With the majority of shooting complete after many weeks of hard work in Louisiana, battling weather and unforeseen circumstances, the staff at Big Sky Motion Pictures has recharged their batteries and are putting all the pieces in place to get this movie IN THE CAN!!! Pick up shots will be completed in the very near future, utilizing seaside locations in the surrounding Los Angeles areas. The movie will have spectacular publicity as, in the spirit of American Idol, nine hours of the reality show, Casting Call, were shot to showcase the search for the next great comedic movie star. The winners of the competition will have roles in the film, Spring Break 83. So for a number of weeks, America will get to be witnesses as aspiring actors and comedians vie for a chance to get their breakout role in this coming of age teen comedy. Big Sky Motion Pictures is confident that, like American Idol, with the reality show, Casting Call, the movie industry will find their very own Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, a talented superstar found among the masses of the general population. Delta Groove Music and Eclecto Groove Records are very excited to see the completion of Spring Break 83 as Eclecto Groove artists Ana Popovic and Mike Zito had a special part in the filming of this project. Acting as the house band for the bar scenes, Ana and Zito will also have their music featured in the soundtrack for the film. We are very proud that CEO of Delta Groove and Eclecto Groove, Randy Chortkoff, is so highly involved in the movie industry that we can see our artists involved in projects like this that will have a huge part in making them known to the general population!! ZITO EXEMPLIFIES THE '80s:

Mike Zito has been hard at work while on the road, reliving the 80s and working on a score for the film, Spring Break 83. Working on a portable recording studio, Zito has been busy sampling the styles from the music of the 80s to create a nostalgic sound for the film. In addition to many iconic songs of the 80s, Zito’s score will be a highlight of the film, taking viewers back to a time when music was glamorous and flashy. So get out your acid washed jeans and parachute pants, because it’s time to “moonwalk” your way back to “cabbage patching” to the rad decade! |

The effort being made on Mike Zito’s debut release, Today, is progressing rapidly. Team Zito is focused and determined on making Mike Zito a force to be reckoned with! The most exciting part about Mike Zito is his vast collection of talents, be it the sultry rumblings of his vocal quality, his distinguished guitar skills, his commanding musical arrangements or his revolutionary lyrics and song writing capabilities. With a stellar line up behind the Zito machine, all the cards are being put into place to rock the world with Zito’s message of second chances. Zito could be the spokesman for the entire country during these trying times while the majority of the population is fighting for a positive change to come. Team Zito is comprised of the entire staff at Eclecto Groove Records, as well as publicists Karen Leipziger and Bill Bentley, booking agency, Intrepid Artists, the musicians on the album; Hutch Hutchinson on bass, who has played on nearly thirty Grammy winning albums, Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on the keys, on drums, Tony Braunagel, whose steady foot has led a number of legendary musicians, including Taj Majal for a number of years and Michito Sanchez, who has played with Nelly Furtado and many others, on percussion. The album, Today, is produced and engineered by producer David Z, who is responsible for a number of projects by renowned musicians, Prince, Etta James and many others. Additionally, gifted musician and producer, Tony Braunagel also produced the album. Not only was Tony in the studio producing, as he has done in the past with Eric Burdon’s release “Soul of a Man,” he arranged the entire lineup of stellar musicians, budgeted the session, as well as met with Zito and worked on the arrangement of the songs long before anybody ever set foot in the recording studio. "1.) The Day after Valentines day I will be flying out to L.A. to Record as a guest artist on Walter Trout’s new CD “The Outsider”. This will be my first time playing on a worldwide release of someone of Walter’s significance. As many of you know I am a huge fan of Walter Trout as player and as a person. “TOO MANY NOTES TOO LOUD!” Walter is a kindred rebel who has paid more dues than I ever hope I have to and I can’t wait to hang out with him much more record with him. Walter Trout was playing in some of my favorite bands when I was only around 8 years old so obviously I’m humbled and flattered by this incredible invitation. I am stoked to be working with a REAL guitar hero and I only hope I can find an amplifier out in California to compete with that amazing Mesa Boogie Trout sound. Additionally I will be reunited with John Porter once again, who is producing Walter’s record! How many people get to work with John Porter twice in six months on two amazing projects! "Ana Popovic arrived in Los Angeles from Amsterdam on February 4th just as Rand Chortkoff, Kelly Davis, Frank Roszak and I were returning from the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. In spite of the long flight, Ana was as radiant as ever and couldn’t wait to start work on the “Still Making History” remix with Rudy Maya. The album will contain 8 remixed versions of the album’s songs and two brand new originals. Let me tell you, they are all entirely new tracks and definitely different. The remix project is designed to take Ana to a new level and a new audience and something we have been planning on doing since the album was first released. Everyone who has heard the remix and the original recordings express amazement and excitement over the impending release. Personally, I loved the old album and it just keeps on being one of our top selling albums both here in America, throughout Europe, Down Under and throughout the Far East and Asia."
