After 2 years, the originally from Yugoslavia but musically skilled in the Netherlands, Ana Popovic comes with a new album on the Eclecto Groove Records label: Blind For Love.

Already the 6th album from this singer/guitar player, if we include her debut album from 1998 with the band Hush. With her previous album, Still Making History, from 2007, Ana scored particularly well in the charts (highest ranking number 3 in the Billboard Blues chart).

Blind For Love, produced by Mark Dearnley (AC / DC, Paul McCartney), and could even be doing better. With her regular band members Ronald Jonker on bass and Andrew Thomas on drums and with the co-operation op Tony Braunagel on drums and Mike Finnigan (keyboard player of the Taj Mahal backing band The Phantom Blues Band) on Hammond, Ana succeeded in making a versatile album with a jazzy, funky and sometimes gospel sauce. Of course you won’t miss backing vocals and a horn section on this album.

The fans of blues-rock will perhaps be less satisfied with this album. However, Blind For Love is an album that will attract a wide ranges of listeners and therefore will fit in the collection of any blues fan.
