From the first tone that is played in the song Fearless Blues album Unconditional clear to me that this is an album that will simply have to in upcoming months to pick up numerous awards and accolades most eminent blues competition. Ana Popovic is literally swept all before him. Eclecto Groove Records is the exclusive yesterday 16th August put into official circulation of this brilliant album. Blues Corner today has its own vision of how things stand. Well, read below what it is.
In New Orleans there was a gathering of teams and work again with producer, Grammy-winning producer John Porter, who has worked on albums by BB King, Taj Mahal, Keb 'Mo', Los Lonely Boys, and Tommy Castro. With Anna's first time working on her album, American debut album Still Making History. On this new album, Ana again turns and returns the root orientation and reflections of blues music, and this resulted in such a brilliant album, as it was filmed by my personal preferences. And also personally I hope that many other blues fans got their share.
Ana Popovic was born on 13 svibnja 1976th in Belgrade, where he grew up. Very early, met with the blues (mostly because of father's remark). During the '90-ies appearances at various blues concerts in Eastern Europe, Greece, Hungary, also stands as an opening act with his band Hush many famous blues players such as the now sadly late Junior Wells. In 1999. he issued his first album for Ruf Records Hush, who were just thrilled her vocals and exceptional sense of music, especially blues. What is important to point out that Ana went to the Academy of Music in Amsterdam to study jazz guitar, and then some things coincided and so is Ana in Germany met and performed with Bernard Allison, who she really is a lot of help when it comes to affirmations, especially in America.
After being included on the album is dedicated to the legendary Jimi Hendrix, Ana created the conditions that it opened many doors. Upon arrival in Memphis Ana much work and performances both in America and Canada, as well as in Europe. In the spring 2001. The Ana Popovic perform at the May Festival in Memphis with Bob Dylan, Black Crowes, and Ike Turner. Also Ana playing and performing with Bernard Allison, Michael Hill and Kenny Neal. In 2003. year again for Ruf Records Ana released her second album, Comfort to the Soul, which has repeatedly confirmed its exceptional quality.
30th January 2005 in Amsterdam, recorded live material Ana! Live In Amsterdam, 26 July by the 2005th published and issued by Ruf Records, a person is already 10th I listen to a concert in November at the Boogaloo club in Zagreb, where he and his band prepared nazo?noj audience truly superb musical experience. Today, six years later, Ana Popovic is an eminently musical name on the world blues scene, and there is absolutely no doubt. I am glad that I managed to hear it, see and talk to her on the eve of its comprehensive and complete global recognition.
The breaking and crucial years of her professional interests, and affirmation in 2007. years and the album Still Making History, which she published Eclecto Groove Records / Delta Groove Music Inc.. It was her definitive and incredibly successful label debut for the U.S. market and the whole thing got a new wind in its sails. What is particularly interesting to her subtle 'feeling' in music in general. Its absolutely fantastic blend of all musical styles of modern music guarantees you an exceptional musical pleasure and it is simply recognized by all, and most critics and audiences. Ana with its remarkable fusion of many musical styles (psychedelia, jazz, funky soul, r & b, rock, reggae and blues, of course) just destroys everything in its way. The terrible musician, who, with her amazing talent, knowledge, skills and undeniable quality did really great things.
Here is just able to balance all of their love of music and focus to the blues, and that is I am confident, however its primary musical interests.
Album Unconditional is clear and well defined, but also a logical progression in her musical development, but unlike many others, the progression goes rapidly to musical heights in any segment of music. Therefore, I consider this the best album in her discography. This is exactly what I wanted personally and what I myself deeply cheered. To each his compositions Ana shows her musical interests specified in the blues form, and that all other musical influences only make and give even more importance and weight, but also an exceptional richness of this album, and also in general, its musical expression.
The album includes 12 songs, eight are originals, written by Ana in cooperation with its suorugom Mark van Meurs, while others are selected from the rich musical heritage of North America, written by some of Ana's musical idols such as Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, Otis Span, Nina Simone, and Sugar Pie DeSanto.
I would certainly should emphasize the following compositions: emotional and totally ufurane Fearless Blues, strongly scattered Count Me In, simruju?u Unconditional, Slideshow (impressive unison music plays vital Ann and Sonny Landreth note), followed blues?ina Business As Usual, energetic funkirana Your Love Is not Real, pulsed Work Song and Voodoo Woman, another blues?ina One Room Country Shack, and at the very end there is a playful Soulful Dress.
The musicians who participated on this album are as follows:
Ana Popovic - vocals & electric, acoustic and slide guitar
Sonny Landreth - the second slide guitar (5)
Jason Ricci - harmonica (2)
Jon Cleary - keyboards (except 8 and 10)
David Torkanowski - keyboards (8:10)
Calvin Turner - bass
Doug Belote - drums
Leon Kid 'Chocolate' Brown - trumpet
Tom Fitzpatrick - Sax
Avista Martin Mycartery'Scooter 'Groce & Jerome Alexander - backing vocals
Unlike previous albums Ana Popovic, this new album, expressed slušljivost and accessibility and is intended for the general population of all those who like modern music, for those who love the blues.
Ana and expressed his astonishing ability merger of different styles of music literally breaks down and you win every part of your being. Personally, I have to admit that for a really long time I had the opportunity to hear an album that I was so good mood, while the listener requires adequate attention and concentration. In this way, Ana has excluded any possibility that this musical project put into the category of 'light' album. Album required to listen to its entirety, to absorb the music and that this recognition is to our mutual satisfaction. Versatile and distinctive music of Ana Popovic brings to you highly expressed 'feeling' and creates an absolutely fantastic atmosphere, which you simply overwhelmed and do not leave you very, very long time.
RECOMMENDATION:
Ana Popovic is an amazing young musician who in musical creativity has absolutely no limits. This is clearly reflected in her compositions in which the atmosphere, arrangements and complete musical structures are literally thrown into despair many, many senior colleagues.
The combination of talent, instrumental virtuosity and quality clearly define Ana's entire musical expression, and this is very, very rarely encountered.
Album Unconditional deserves BMA in the category of modern blues album of the year. I think that's enough, so once ANA BRAVO!!
What about all of Anne herself says: The title Unconditional, describes what I feel on stage. That place is simply unconditional. It is magical. It's just me and my guitar, notes, sounds and drum grooves. I let the band lift me up, and I feed off of their energy. I hate to think when playing. I only feel. Unconditional is how I stand towards my music-it's mine, it's sacred, and it's with no boundaries. Absolute, definite. I tend to put everything I have into it and do not let anything or anyone get in between, except the people that truly inspire me.
