Ana Popovich is at The Hungry Tiger on Tuesday. Popovic was born in Yugoslavia, in a family where music was very important.

Her father is a recognized guitar/bass player, often holding jams where Popovic listened and analyzed the deep artistic roots of her music. She quickly picked up her father's blues and soul record collection, grabbed his guitar and went to work at 15. Since then, Popovic has been in demand worldwide.

The most impressive aspect of her music is her diversity of techniques and styles. Her blend of smoking electric guitar, jazzy instrumentals and tight blues groove hold an audience. She will give the band a break, grab a stool and do some solo slide work.
