Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), in 1976, Ana Popovic formed a band at the age of nineteen, and within a year she was opening shows at home for the likes of Junior Wells. She solidified her career after moving to the Netherlands, began touring internationally, and was nominated for a W. C. Handy Award in the States in 2003. She and her four-piece band play a high-powered version of the blues, and they'll be showcasing their new album, "Unconditional," at this Texas-barbecue joint on Aug. 25.
