Candye Kane "Sister Vagabond"

"Sister Vagabond" the latest release of Candy Kane along with guitarist Laura Chavez is generally quite a varied album with "light" songs on it. The mix of soul, swing, blues is a good mix. This is mainly due to the good choice of songs. Not only that makes the album so interesting so does the guitar work of Laura Chavez and of course the singing of Candye. A voice that sometimes good can attack such as "Love Insurance" and sometimes sounds like the dark on "Walkin, Talkin 'Haunted House. With also a formidable guitar playing Laura.

Thomas Yearsley we know from The Paladins play upright bass on several songs but the song "You Cannot Take It Back From Here," he plays a very controlled on the organ. Furthermore, I enjoy the work of Nathan James on slide: "Down With The Blues" by Steve White. A slow blues number with subdued vocals by Candye. Because the latter is also very strong slow blues song with a great voice. James Harman takes his harp there on 'You Cannot Hurt Me Anymore, "a full-fat blues composition by Candye and Laura. A number of completely different order is undoubtedly to zydeco smelling "Have A Nice Day". This is what I call a light song like "Side Dish" featuring the deep voice of David Mosby. He could be a doo wop band-stepped.

Worth mentioning is certainly the use of a saxophone sound that emerges on very well include "Love Insurance" and thus the song the soul resists.

Brenda Lee's "Sweet Nothin's" is not an easy song to cover and this bluesy version is not even that bad. Yet I feel this issue of the album because it liked my idea was not at her best. Matter of taste? Maybe a song that is hard to retreads.

The closing "I Deserve Love 'is a beautiful song written and played above. It starts very penetrating and then, it seems, on a trot. It therefore has a lot of country influences in them. But that is something that gives the song more gravy.

The chemistry between the two women is exemplary and that is not only musically but also apparent in the compositions of the two ladies. That's all thirteen songs from the album back. Much variation both musically and technically we are singing at a very nice presentation. All in all a fun and breezy Vagabond Sister album which everyone entertained can be rotated.
