Innovative bluesman Jason Ricci gigs at Murphy’s Thursday, Nov. 1, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Ricci also plays the Zoo Bar Friday, Nov. 2, after 9 p.m. Ricci is a harmonica player and singer whose music is rooted not just in traditional blues but also in punk rock, jazz and world music. His new Eclecto Groove Records CD is titled Rocket Number 9, a reference to the Sun Ra song he blazes through on the disc.
