Just before the start of the spring, Los Fabulocos with her second CD on the market. It really fits into this period with something lightly come up.

"DOS" is such an album with them, what they describe as "Cali-Mex ', happy tunes that are a blend of Tex Mex, rock & roll, rhythm & blues, zydeco and Mexican influences. It's nice they managed to twelve current songs, mostly sung in Spanish, to collect. When writing of Jesus Cuevas has a big finger in the pie had. He also takes the vocals and accordion on his behalf. But Kid Ramos has indulged in writing some great songs. But appealing covers, we are told, so is the song "Los Chucos Suaves" written by Lalo Guerrero, one of the founders of what we now call TexMex.
Actually starts the album with subdued 'Everything Will Turn Out Alright "and goes so gradually into high gear every now and then a gear shift down. This ensures that it is not monotonous but still enough variety available.

The accordion plays a major role in this style is probably known, but it also testifies to his class at the right time in the foreground to allow entry without dominating. Precisely timed and timely deployment is also an art. In a song like "What's In My Heart" in which the accordion clearly the fore, makes it the 'gravy'.

Los Fabulocos the musical play lends itself naturally to upbeat even though they've been working 'I Never Tonight' also showed a sensitive side. It's not far from a 'tearjearker' off.

Kid Ramos late on several songs also are familiar with his guitar work, laced with blues influences. For example, on 'The Vibe' and 'Keep A Knockin', he is clearly audible presence.

But you can get a good guitarist, singer and accordion player but if you do not have good back line, you can also shake it. A strong backline is therefore drummer Mike Molina and bassist James Barrios. This, combined with good songs and covers: "DOS" to a fine album.

So we have to do with a quartet in the highest echelons of the Tex Mex and blues. This combination, together with guest musicians, makes for an excellent production.
