Fans of Los Fabulocos featuring Kid Ramos will be happy with the release this week of "Dos" (Delta Groove Music). In the four years since forming, the Cali-Mex band has quickly become a staple at clubs and events throughout the San Gabriel Valley and has garnered gigs across California and Texas. The current lineup is vocalist and accordion player Jesse Cuevas, guitarist Kid Ramos, bassist James Barios and drummer Mike Molina.

Los Fabulocos spent two years preparing and testing songs for "Dos," trying out each tune during its live performances to determine the crowd favorites. With the tracks finally decided, it took the band only two days in the studio to record the effort. The result is a nice clutch of original and cover songs, including Little Richard's version of "Keep A Knockin' " and Cuco Sanchez's "Un Pura y Dos Con Sal." The work encompasses and mixes the genres of rockabilly, rock, R&B, conjunto, zydeco and norteno that make up the group's signature sound.

In addition to percussion duties, Molina is an accomplished artist and created a Dia de Los Muertos style painting of the band, which serves as the album's cover.
