LYNWOOD SLIM& THE IGOR PRADO BAND "BRAZILAN KICKS" Source: WVKR Date: 02/2011 Writer: Nick Delay

There’s a good story on this one: Mr. Slim went down to Brazil to produce Mr. Prado’s album, and they hit it off so well it turned into a collaboration.  The music that resulted is light and fun, with Mr. Slim’s smooth voice sailing over Mr. Prado’s jazzy  band.  I’m partial to jumping Bloodshot Eyes (3) and the jazzy My Hat’s on the Side of my Head (4)  I also like the instrumentals Blue Bop  (5) and Bill’s Change (10).  – NAD 11/10
