THE
MANNISH BOYS "LOWDOWN FEELIN"
Source: La Hora Del Blues

The Mannish Boys new album is a delicious treasure. What began as simple recording studio band to back different musicians soon became a regular autonomous group.
During the last years, they have done a non-stop tours and gigs around the whole world, spreading their traditional orthodox blues, a clever mixture of Chicago blues, West Coast blues, jump, Texas blues and Louisiana down home music, reaching an enormous success. This new cd rounds their three previous recordings. It includes seventeen terrific tracks performed with an amazing feeling and a rolling strength which will turn the most reluctant atheist to the blues religion.
The musicians who form The Mannish Boys in “Lowdown Feelin’” are Bobby Jones, Finis Tasby and Johnny Dyer on vocals, Randy Chortkoff on harp, Paris Slim, Kid Ramos and Eli Fletcher on guitars, Ronnie James Weber and Tom Leavey on bass and acoustic bass and Richard Innes on drums. Besides, they have also included some excellent guest musicians such as Little Sammy Davis, Lynwood Slim and Al Blake on harp, Fred Scribner and Junior Watson on guitars, Fred Kaplan on piano, Scott Sten on trumpet, David Woodford on saxos and Cynthia Manley and Jessica Williams as vocal backgrounds.
An impressive classic blues record that becomes essential for any blues lover. ESSENTIAL.
