Celebrate an anniversary, you will Delta Groove Records have thought to plan "Shake For Me" the new album by The Mannish Boys. And when you do something you do well. Because the fifth anniversary of the band there are some properties of this tag chartered to work with The Mannish Boys with this release to work.
The 'hard' core of the band that includes: Finis Tasby, Bobby Jones, Randy Chortkoff, Kirk Fletcher, Frank Goldwasser, flanked by a great new rhythm section consisting of: Willie J. Campbell on bass and Jimi Bott on drums. Added are: Rod Piazza, Kid Ramos, Nick Curran, Mike Zito, Fred Kaplan, Mitch Kashmar, Johnny Animals, Lynwood Slim, Rob Rio, Andy Kaulkin and our own 'Big Pete' van der Pluijm, each with some numbers to cooperate grant. An excellent one occupation that has yielded good results in the form of sixteen lowdown blues songs that keep the tradition but also continues. With much passion and enthusiasm are some famous covers played covers because they are not all 'Educated Ways' and' Those Worries "written by Randy Adams Arthur Chortkoff while the song" Raunchy "can write to his credit. With a little collaboration between writer include: Nick Curran, Kirk Fletcher, Willie J. Campbell, Jimi Bott and Fred Kaplan resulting in very smoothly executed 'The Bullet'. This divide Nick and Kirk together the solo parts on guitar. Beautifully performed the songs "Mona" and "Willie And The Hand Jive" here that is merged into an overlapping number.
There are many more of these wonderful performances, and as such gets Ray Charles' R & B song "Hey Now" were measured by a more bluesy, which makes the song even more exciting. Another unforgettable blues greatness, Muddy Waters, will be honored with his song "Champagne and Reefer".
"Shake For Me" ends with an execution of Lester Butler's "Way Down South". The harmonica on this spectacularly played by 'Big Pete' who is also vocally very strong. Along with Kid Ramos on guitar, this is a good choice if closing of this anniversary album whose title by the performances of all songs twice over emphasized.
