Long time Taj Mahal back up band Phantom Blues Band has released their 2nd album and while touring on their own, are still doing some dates with Taj. This Grammy Award winning band and 2001 W.C. Handy Award winner continues to create great music, with its blend of gospel, R&B soul, funk, reggae, jazz and blues.  Various band members have, or are working with everyone from Joe Cocker to Bob Dylan.  Whether it is a 1940 and 50s big band sound, or traditional blues, this excellent produced CD features a group providing everything from great vocals to musicianship.
