"Last year Phantom Blues Band stepped "Out of the Shadows" to make one of the best records of 2006. This year they recreate the"footprints of sleeping giants, belonging to the past '. 'FOOTPRINTS' is a contemporary celebration of the past just as am radio was in the 60's and fm in the 70's. This an album you wish your favourite radio station would play [and we are]. By recreating the style and feel of songs that the band members heard on border radio and regional hits and adding their own songs, 'Barnyard Blues", When Malindy Sings", "A Very Blue Day' the music of the past becomes the music of today. This album is like putting on your favourite pair of slippers it is essential, comfortable, relaxed and difficult to live without. The band are a musical blender combining funk 'Look at Granny Run', R'n'B,Swing, " See See Baby", Classic Rock'n'Roll from Earle Randle " Leave Home Girl' and Ray Charles "A Fool for You", Blues " Barnyard Blues", N'Orleans "My Wife Can't Cook" and Gospel "Chills and Fever'. I seriously doubt you will hear a better album this year. Thanks Santa.
