KASHMAR "WAKE UP & WORRY"
Source: Radio Feedback
Writer: Various |
The Mitch Kasmar CD that you sent me a
while back was so well received that I dedicated
a full half hour to his music on BLUES-UNLIMITED.
(Tony Nightingale / FENLAND STUDIOS)
So many great releases from Delta >Groove,
how can I not be great! I was checking out CD
Baby website and picked up a Mitch Kashmar CD
(Crazy Mixed Up World) a 1999 release. He really
nails that Little Walter stuff, great vocals,
excellant harmonica work!
Dan (WRBC Bates College Radio)
Just a note to let you know I got Mitch
on Friday & I'll have him on the air Saturday.
Haven't had time to hear the whole thing yet,
but what I've heard is great!

cd out to me. Really really good. Enjoy the covers
and the originals are tops. Also enjoy the guitars
of Rusty Zinn and Junior Watson and Richard Innes

I
was glad to get the new Mitch Kashmar CD because
I've never stopped playing his earlier one. Believe
it or not, sometimes when I play one of your CD's
I draw attention to Delta Groove as "the
label that's never made a bad record."
As
long as your CD's continue to have the same
Blues Integrity, I'll keep on saying that.
At
any rate, I hope the artists and everyone involved
in the production of your CD's gets to see this
e-mail; it would mean a lot to me.

We
did receive the latest Kashmar disc and love it
here at WBOR, Brunswick, Maine. Talk about having
it all. What I love about Kashmar's latest is
that it harkens back a little to the "jump
blues" post World War II boogie days. Great
vocals, great harp! What more could a lover of
the blues want. Thanks for thinking of us as usual

Yes,
I have been receiving the cds. Check out my playlists
for your artists! I am really impressed with your
artists and the high quality recordings you are
putting out! I know most of them and I enjoy having
their recordings to play. I have to try NOT to
play them every song!

Show. NH)
An
hour ago my mailman brought me a parcel from you
with Mitch Kashmar's new release, it came safe
and sound, thank you very much.
His debut on Delta Groove was hot but this one
is boiling - with his singing and playing even
more intense than on "Nickles & Dimes"
and so many more moods in the music and lyrics.
All that, together with first class eye catching
cover photos makes "Wake Up & Worry"
a winner in my book! I'll keep you updated on
how the airplay is going.

Mitch
Kashmar...Got It!!!! / Better then the last disc…If
that's possible.
Bert. (WHUS CT)
Gave
'Wake Up & Worry' a couple of listens this
morning. Good stuff! Particularly like 'Half Pint
A Whiskey'. Thanks for sending Mitch's new one
along.

Greetings
from a very warm Memphis. I wanted to thank you
for sending Mitch's latest; got it in the mail
on Wednesday and am going to feature it tomorrow
night on Soul Stew. I plan on playing 6 or 7 cuts
from the disc and the only trouble I'm having
is trying to decide which ones as every track
is really good! Delta Groove has such a warm,
smoky groove to it and I really like that. Mitch's
playing is right on the money on this CD, and
the mix on the disc is excellent!

Fleming (WEVL FM 89.9 / Memphis / "Soul Stew"

“I
took the new Mitch Kashmar CD, "Wake Up &Worry",
out of the envelope and went WOW! I put the disc
on the platter and went WOW again! This CD is
so hot, I'm gonna open the Blues Summit Radio
Program with a cut off of it for the next 12 weeks!
Until I've played every song on it!"
- Roy Prescott WMWV's Blues Summit,
Conway, NH
Thank
you for the promo copies of Mitch Kashmar's CDs.
I will be giving them extensive airplay the next
few blues radio shows of min on WSND FM 88.9.
They're great collections, and my listeners will
really dig them. Thanks again, and take care!
Curt Brown
