Rod
Piazza comes back with a traditional album where his
gift as harmonica player and song writer shine at a
very high level. The tunes selection is perfect and
the performing and final production are faultless on
both musical and artistic fields. The musicians who
usually play with him -Honey Piazza, Carvajal, Bill
Stuve and Paul Fasulo -do an outstanding work and the
guest musicians, Kid Ramos, Johnny Dyer, Randy Chortkoff,
Finis Tasby or Phil Guy among others, sound superb and
very inspired too. As one goes on listening the cd,
its intensity goes higher and higher with the amazing
quality each musician gives to every song included on
“Fot The Chosen Who”. You will also find
a DVD which gathers some recording session extracts
and short interviews. I dare say it is one of the best
Rod’s recordings he has done on the last years.

Piazza vuelve a la carga con un álbum tradicional
donde su talento como armonicista y compositor brillan
a gran altura. La selección de canciones es
excelente y tanto la producción como la ejecución
son impecables desde el punto de vista musical y artístico.
Los músicos que le acompañan habitualmente,
Honey, Carvajal, Bill Stuve y Paul Fasulo están
realmente sobresalientes y los invitados, Kid Ramos,
Johnny Dyer, Randy Chortkoff, Finis Tasby o Phil Guy
entre otros suenan verdaderamente soberbios e inspirados.
A medida que se va escuchando el cd, la intensidad
sube a cotas insospechadas debido al alto nivel cualitativo
que todos aportan a cada una de las canciones que
integran este ‘For The Chosen Who’. El
disco se acompaña de un DVD que resume algunos
momentos estelares y diversas entrevistas realizadas
durante la grabación del cd. Puedo decir que
es de lo mejor que Rod ha grabado en los últimos
años. MUY BUENO. |
