CD Review: Sean Costello - We Can Get Together

The newest effort from talented guitarist/vocalist Sean Costello is without question his finest CD to date. “We Can Get Together” delivers 11 tracks that allow Costello a chance to express his musical vision. I particularly enjoyed the hard-rocking songs “Anytime You Want,”

Same Old Game,” and “How In the Devil,” which showcase Costello’s incredible guitar skills and mature voice. His vocal delivery on “Have You No Shame,” makes this slow cruiser one of album’s true highlights.

In “Going Home,” you can easily hear the influence of B.B. King in the introduction. The song has a wonderful message you need to hear.

The album closes with “Little Birds,” a traditional classic with Oliver Wood helping out with guitar. In summary, the variety of styles heard on this album offer a little something for everyone. Costello has matured into one of today’s finest contemporary bluesmen, providing a great sampling of his work on “We Can Get Together.”
